"It has always been my desire to make films that would move and inspire audiences, and beyond that, to actually make a positive difference in this world. " - Jennifer Gargano
The Forget Me Not Foundation was founded in 2010 by Jennifer Gargano and Harry Azano (President, American Epic Cinema). The two have made a vow to be a critical part in finding a cure for cancer within their lifetime, and so created The Foundation to bridge the cinematic arts with community outreach and service. The Forget Me Not Foundation strives to serve humanity and improve the quality of life for those who need it most. The Foundation's goal is to spread a message of positivity and hope, and to inspire others to do their part in making this world a better place.
In October 2010, The Forget Me Not Foundation held it's kick-off event, A Gala to Give - an event to benefit the American Cancer Society. Held at a beautiful venue in Connecticut, the event had a wonderful turnout, hosting 130 guests for a cocktail reception, followed by a full dinner buffet, a 9-piece band, Dj, dancing, and raffles - with 100% of all proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society. The Gala was a great success, and with the generosity and compassion of so many, The Foundation was able to raise nearly $10,000 for the American Cancer Society!!!
A Gala to Give will be an annual event held each fall to benefit the American Cancer Society. For more information or if you would like to get involved with any of the charity events The Forget Me Not Foundation is organizing, please visit: www.agalatogive.com.
